We are not a government agency and we do not receive funds from the City, County, State or Government. We depend entirely on Grants, Fundraisers, income from the Adoption Center, Thrift Store, and Donations. The mission of Priest River Animal Rescue is to provide quality humane care, rehabilitation, adoption, and education for the good of all dogs and cats and their companions in our community. Along those lines, our intention is to create lifetime friends through adoption. Our cat had gone missing a month ago. A cat was found 10 miles from our house and they connected the dots from a lost pet report I had filed there. It was him and we were happily reunited. Thank you PR animal shelter for all you do. Merry Christmas!
My husband and I visited the Priest River Animal Rescue in June, we were very impressed on the quality of care and the wonderful staff. The shelter was great, they have done so much to improve the facility, and had some wonderful ideas for us to try when we get home. If we had not been traveling there was several cats that I would consider adopting. Keep up the good work, you're sure making a difference in the lives of homeless pets.
I was surprised to find it to be so big on the inside. Very clean. Lots of space for animals to play and sleep. Plus their constantly improving the facility.The volunteers and staff are friendly, curtious and very helpful. And I found our loveable Kali Ko Mutah who loves to snuggle and has the sweetest little meow. We absolutely adore Kali.
